Frequent first home buyer questions
Can I use the First Home Owner Grant on an off the plan purchase?
Do I get a stamp duty concession as a first home buyer?
I only have a small deposit. Is off the plan still realistic?
Will my grant or concession be affected if I lease the property out?
How do I know which apartment to pick if I can't walk through it?
Start with the things you can’t change: aspect, level and outlook. Everything else, from finishes to furniture, is adjustable later. North and east facing apartments get better morning light and are easier to keep comfortable year round. Higher floors buy you outlook and quiet but cost more per square metre.
Then work with what’s in front of you. Every plan is drawn to scale, so you can measure your existing furniture and lay it out on the floor plan before you commit. Check the internal area separately from the balcony area, because two apartments quoted at the same total size can live very differently. Look at where the windows sit, where light enters, and how the living space connects to the outdoor space.
Beyond that, we can show you the exact view line from your lot, walk you through the display suite and finishes boards, and put you in the same apartment type in a completed building where possible. If you tell us how you actually live, whether that’s working from home, hosting, or wanting a quiet corner away from the lift core, we’ll narrow the shortlist down to two or three lots rather than leaving you to guess across the whole stack.
